Thanks for the parts!, I just fitted them to my car, and the LED Bulbs look great! Where did you get them?

What was the quote to fix the car? I suggest getting quotes from several shops. Looks nice- but the really spendy stuff to fix is in the engine. Did you get a leakdown or compression test? Remember the youngest 993 is over ten years old- you will be very lucky if you find one that truly needs nothing. Mine needed $2kusd spent straight away- seller went halves- but if you can wait and do some of the non-essential stuff later, you might be better off in the long run.

    Good luck!

    Paul.

Thanks for the link to the NJ car - with the conversion to CDN plus the border taxes, I am well into $42K I think.

Makes me think that the car I saw here that didn't pass the inspection (bushings and rods (?) for both back tires and needs 4 new tires may not be such a big deal to just get fixed. It also had some cracked paint on the front bumper which I guess could be fixed too - no impact damage, just looked like the paint cracked.

If I could get it for $33-$34k CDN maybe its a decent deal. The seller seems to think its the deal of the century but what does that mean.

Here is a picture of the car from in the garage so it's not under natural light.

Paul - I am interested in a C4 - I just thought it was interesting that someone could be selling a C2 for that high a price. Just wondering if you thought that was out of whack or if it was some special version that I was unfamiliar with.

Not crazy about the tan interior. Reminds me a bit of a retired person in Florida driving a Caddy. (I hope your interior is not tan - or that you are a retired person in Florida ;-)

    Steven:

I thought you wanted a Carrera 4? The C2 option makes it a lot easier. The black over tan Carrera 4 I sent you the eBay link to can be had for under $30k and looks nice.

Paul - I am going to let Stuttgart Autoech do the rear glass install, just so everything is done right. In a search I noticed you used Transport Services, and it sounds like you were happy with them. They gave me the best quote: $1300/Portland-NJ, so I went with them.
