Hi Mike,
I am a wannabe Boxster S shopper. I have my eye on one listed in your area on ebay. The description looks like what I am looking for. Auction ends in 3 days. I saw from an ancient post that you were offering to do a basic go/no go for someone. I want to know if it's worth bidding on. I may even make a side offer to take it off the auction, if I can get seller to agree to a PPI. Let me know if this is something that you are willing to do and I will give you details.
Hi Mike,
Saw your post on storing cars and hoping you could give me some advice. 1979 Porsche 928 ~80k - sitting for a while (3 years) w/newish oil and engine coolant from last time I started it and ran it 3 years ago. Tried starting it other day saw pinhole leak in rear gas line from fuel filter to fuel pump. Wouldn't turn over but tried, almost did. Car sits in clean garage here in Palm Springs CA area - car is clean, no rust etc. Going to order fuel lines, bunch of other stuff to replace in between, probably be sitting in garage all summer before can wrench everything, plus its really hot here. So much info on storing cars contradictory - do i drain everything? leave it alone? saw alien eggs in the cylinders due to acidic coolant on one of G Browns restoration job for his sons 928 years ago and thought oh oh.... i have the anti phosphorus coolant. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Don't know if this is PM message.
