Price isn't as important as understanding what you are getting. Is it a premium shop? was it recommended by a friend(or PCA members)? Do they specialize in porsche work or are they at least familiar with these cars? Does price include trim removal - door handles, bumpers, lights, etc.? Did they point out any body work? Did you look at any cars in process, did you look at any finished work (not pictures)? Is the shop clean and orderly? What type of warranty do they offer? Do they cut and buff? Turn around time(add 50% to their number)? What I'm getting at is to ask lots of questions, visit at least 5 shops and get a feel for the local rate. Finally, ask for a written estimate before you drop your car off with a shop. Many times when it comes to complete re-sprays the shop will just throw out a verbal estimate. That's ok for talking but not when it comes time to trust somebody with your car. Feel free to share this with others on the forum, I'm not around much anymore. Good luck!
