Hi, congrats on your new toy!

My intake is the earlier type which are aluminium - the later 964 intakes are plastic and are marginally better (and lighter). Mine is a standard intake but it's just been chrome powder coated so unfortunately gives me zero performance gains - just looks pretty!!

Decluttering the engine bay is never a bad thing and there are endless things you can do to achieve this. One of the cleanest engine bays is Robs car which is largely a stock engine too so shows what can be achieved. Take a look at his ongoing thread.

He got a standard ally intake and cleaned it up which turned out looking nice:

Good luck with the car, there's a lot of information and help out there so don't worry about asking any questions!

Hi Alex, I am new to the Porsche family, I just bought a 1991 964. From your avatar I can see that you have either modified your intake plenum(s) or they are upgraded. Can you give me some guidance. I would like to clean my engine bay by removing all the clutter - as much as possible without going into major dollars.
    Thank you
