Default 2020 Land Rover Defender

https://www.landroverusa.com/vehicle...der/index.html

Ground up redesign (not a rebaged discovery), 400 hp motor with hybrid assist, most advanced traction/suspension setup ever from LR, tolerable price (60-90k)......Personally I think this thing is pretty dang cool. Thoughts?

Overall I like it.
It weighs a lot though, and I don't like the trendy `holes in body' (instead of grills) styling flourish.

Went to my local dealer after having purchased a few range rovers which are all serviced there regularly. Wanted to place deposit for the defender. They wanted a 1k non refundable deposit and won’t tell me where I am in line. I took my check and left.

It seems JLR dealers are learning from the Porsche dealers.

Not surprising, but since LR is not going to limit production, this wont last.

I’m considering it. Is there an active site to learn more about the car? The ones I found are UK sites.

I have searched for an active forum and could not come up with much.

I like it so far, but I am going to wait until people are actually using them to see how they do before I pull the trigger.

I have the first allocation at our local dealer. Going with the 110 in green and hoping I don’t miss my Raptor two months later.
