Might be the only one here but I'll say it, this is the first EV aside from the Honda E prototype that has me actually excited (Honda E allgedly not coming to US sadly). I'm tempted to queue up for it simply because I love the design even though I've never owned a truck and wouldn't have much use for it
If you are going to go electric, and proclaim it as the future, then might as well go all out & take risks IMO, I love how futuristic and minimal it is. Give me that instead of re-using an uninspired design and simply swap out the ICE for an electric motor (or force it in) like every other manufacturer has mostly done. Makes it a better argument actually for going electric because if two designs are the exact same I'd prefer ICE most likely, whereas this is something else!
That butt ugly truck with bullet proof glass might sell well in the hoods for night cruising 🌙 if Tesla is willing to finance and take weekly payments in crumpled cash.
I was impressed by how many pre-orders Tesla got for something that ugly so I went to the website to spec one out and found this nugget:
So the way I'm reading that the hundreds of thousands of pre-orders are non-binding $100 bills. Feels a bit like a pyramid scheme.
So, this was like a $20m interest-free loan from Tesla fans? Cool way to get some cheap, quick financing

The crash test results should be interesting for this one. Including what it does to other vehicles.
Collision repair will be easy/difficult/the same as other vehicles?
Teslas don't crash, don't you know?
And if they do, there's mostly not a lot to repair afterwards
And if there is, all you have to do is wait 6-12 months for parts.
