How very sad. Porsche and their after-sales service is simply diabolical.
The day I was out of warranty I dumped the Porsche dealership network for service and went to an independent specialist shop.
But to go to a Lexus would be my absolute last resort.
An Audi RS or an M3?

We deal with a lot of Lexus cliental too. The LC500 is noticeably heavy. It is comfortable, a v8 (sounds great), doesn't feel 911 fast, but its a nice car overall..

Find a good indy and keep the 911. Plenty of good mechanics out there.

Not sure what to tell you.
A call to your regional PCNA rep to open up a case with Corp (coupled with a decent loaner) might make it easier to manage.
As for the Lexus, I fear you'll be disappointed if not bored..

I test drove a Lexus IS series a few years back. As Duxsi said, I was very disappointed and bored.

condolences. I know for some people the practicality of a 911 can be an issue. I know that I will never get bored with this car, the only other car I would consider is the Turbo/S or GT3 Touring. unlikely to happen as my tuned C2 is plenty of car for me and such a lovely car to drive, just drive. the twin turbo flat 6 in the back makes no other choice possible. I wouldn't let some jerkyoff dealer ruin my experience with the car.

If you want out of the sports car world, it is reasonable choice. A friend with a 991 and an LS500 says it a high quality, high style, comfortable highway cruiser.

There are web sites in major cities that connect you with folks that rent their cars/Jeeps/ Trucks out by the day in order to fund their monthly payments. Might be a option to really try out the Lexus.

I thought about buying an LC500 for a daily driver but ended up with an RS3 because it was comfy enough for me and feels more “fun” to me. The LC500 is a fantastic grand touring car. The engine sounds amazing and the interior is fantastic. It drives very nicely for its mass, solid chassis, and depending on what you expect from a car it could be a great car for daily driving.

Love the LC500. It doesn’t handle like a 911 but the character of the engine and the interior are a step up from even the latest 992 IMO. Porsche doesn’t deserve loyal customers with the games it lets the dealers play. Vote with your dollars and get something else. Or exclusively use an Indy.

I came from a GSF that had the same 5.0L V8 engine as the LC500. Fantastic sounding engine and one of the best sounding N/A V8 RWD cars I had next to my E92 M3. As others have said, it is more of a grand tourer and you will feel the weight of the car.
