Yes. 2011 Carbon or 2012 with Magnetic Ride Control (it also includes 5 mode performance traction management).

i guess that makes the Z28 a heavy Z06.....

the new C7 in Z06 will be the one to watch...

Looking forward to seeing this happen.
Bring scales, bring GT2, bring drag strip, bring Sebring and I can prove you very wrong, I just have to bring Fiat..

Zero Fuel, U.S. versions, no options.

997.2 GT3 3160 lbs
997.2 GT3RS 3116 lbs
997.2 GT3RS 4.0 3094 lbs

Add full tank of fuel and driver, and number moves up around 300 lbs depending on driver's weight.

Add Rollbar, harnesses and depending on rollbar brand weight goes up 22-85 lbs or even more with a cage.

Add options (except PCCB, Li-Ion battery), and everything adds more weight (exception the 997.2 GT3 that had optional sport bucket seats).

991 GT3 will surpass the 3225 lbs weight mark with zero fuel, it should be 3,237 lbs if Porsche keeps the consistency on U.S. version weights that it has kept since 2002.

BS, put it on the scales and take picture. Let's do scales, dyno, drag racing day and bring honesty to RL.

You get your numbers from your Gameboy? Porsche states the 4.0 weights 2998lbs. Does Gameboy say if this is the Euro weight with PCCB and rear plexi window?

i wonder how much weight we could get off the Z/28 - spec's look great and a lot of easy takings if your thinking 964 Cup usa style reductions.

Seats, carpet, makrolon, door cards, undercoating, rear seat delete, hidden sound deadening, maybe wheels all without resorting to Ti and Carbon. fairly reasonable as weight reduction costs goes.

3600 lbs stock, @ 3200 lbs it would be hella fast. and make a great RS type car (no cage, track/street focused).

Those numbers came off the corner balance numbers with everything in it except helmet, me and fuel.

Be happy to check it again next time on scales, you have seen the Dyno in person. I don't drag race, I'd rather follow the beer kart on a gold course.

Have we learned any more details on the 7/28? Interesting thread...made me actually go out and test drive a SS 1LE that was at my dealership and I have to say that after about a 1 hour test drive I was thoroughly impressed. Visibility definitely isnt great but wow has the American muscle genre come a long way....my 99 Viper was an angry frothing-at-the-mouth beast that took every chance it could to try and kill me. These new cars have as much or more power but behave so much better! This 1LE had amazing front end grip and handled extremely neutral through the corners even when we hit some bumps mid corner. It really kept its composure well.

The new Z28 better be faster than the new GT3, or you're giving up a lot of comfort to drive a race car, that doesn't perform like one.

If I want a pure race car. I wouldn't choose a Camaro.

I'll be surprised if it can beat a C7.

It should beat the C7 Z51 pretty easily. With GM's test drivers, the ZL1 ran a 2:52.4 at VIR(the C7 ran a 2:51.7). They said the Z/28 was 3 seconds faster around GM's shorter 3 mile course than the ZL1 at the time of the press release. The lead would get bigger at a longer course like VIR.

Should move pretty well. I doubt its as fast as the new GT3 but for hardcore track fans looking for something new, rare and under $100K, this might do the trick.
