Best extended warranty?

Yeah, let me get right on that douche.
I revived the thread, interested in what people's experience with coverage has been.
And Highline provided that, by commenting on how almost no extended warranty policies will cover brakes (and provided 4 examples). You proceeded to dismiss him because you believed he has financial interest, when he was simply providing facts on warranties.
I guess you have Fidelity as well, with the 'Swindled' coverage. Don't get all bent out of shape, if you knew how to google, you can find the Ally terms and conditions of their aftermarket warranties.
I don't have fidelity - my car is still CPO for 2 more years. Whether I buy Fidelity or Ally or Freedom or something else will be something I determine towards the end of that period. As of right now, none of the options were price advantageous enough to warrant coverage overlap with my CPO policy. Sure, I'm gonna assume you have Ally Major Guard as that's the highest listed on their website, I've posted the coverage items below this quote. It clearly states it doesn't cover brakes on the third line.
" As for coverage, not sure why they wouldn't replace something that fails before its expended lifespan of usage, you must know something about the properties of Carbon Ceramic aging, that would make it so it would degrade after 9 years." I also don't buy products, without the intention of using them, thus my research into Fidelity, reading all the exclusions, and then deciding not buying a junky aftermarket warranty like Fidelity.
Sure the dealer might replace something like that under factory warranty, but good luck outside of that.
Hopefully the platinum covers tissues for people like you.

Like all warranties, know what product you are buying. If there are tiers of coverage, anything below the top tier is most likely going to lead to disappointment. When I had my Fidelity coverage on my F07 BMW, I had several claims rejected because they defined "trim" as essentially anything that didn't have to do with moving the car. Failed door lock? "Trim...not covered." Trunk latch soft close failed? "Trim....not covered" Window switch failed? "Trim...not covered"
I left the dealer with the warranty in hand and the impression that everything would be taken care of. My fault for not knowing what product I bought but even if I did see that "trim" was not covered, the stuff they rejected was not "trim" in my opinion.

Fidelity seems to be the most well regarded, although they also have plenty of loopholes.
The dealer is going to sell you whatever plan yields them the most profit. Stick to the providers and plans recommended by rennlist members. Generally, there is zero benefit to purchasing such plans from your local dealer. First find tge right plan, then shop around for providers of that plan.
The alternative, which many suggest, is to take what you would spend on a plan and put it in an interest bearing account. Remember, these companies have an army of data scientists and actuaries who have calculated that you will spend more than they will pay.

Never heard of them, which is interesting considering they're based in our backyard here in Phoenix...

Freedom Warranty has a 30 day / 1,000 mile waiting period on polices where the vehicle is out of warranty coverage or 14 days has passed since the purchase of the vehicle.
