This is from a 2010 owner on 6SpeedOnline:
"I took my 2010 Panamera to Hennessy Porsche. I called first and they said that no appointment was needed as they could do the patch in the drive through.
They loaded a CD in the head unit, updated the software and five minutes later I was on my way to work. No hassle and no charge. It has worked great for 24 hours.
I will update if the problem returns. I did ask the service guy about the problem and he said it has been the 2010 & 2016 PCM's that require them to have a software
reload/patch done from the CD. The rest seem to handle the simple reset"

Hi All, My wife found her Porsche in Montreal this past Nov and we flew in on Dec 27 2019 to purchase it. 2012 Porsche Cayenne S, when we got a chance to go through all the navigation we found that the car had been to the F1 track in Montreal ( previous destinations) so when her PCM started this reboot trouble she was heart broken that she lost some of the history of the car. As of today the Sirius has been suspended ( 2 weeks ago) and last Tuesday tried to handover reset and it still reboots every 2 minutes. Hopefully they get this resolved soon, it's bad that you have to pull a fuse to keep the PCM from coming back at full blast after it reboots.

are you still getting the xm signal? Do you get more than chance 0 and 1? If so that is the problem. Xm has to manually remove your radio from the system. Once they manually shut my signal off it worked for me.

Sirius after 4 calls over 2 hrs - not taking responsibility . they are not notifying
They have not notified any Porsche subscribers. Complete run around, and you will lose all contacts, destinations, trip info etc. All channel favorites will need to manually reset.
They offered me $30 and told me I would need to pay the dealership to fix. You can reset on your own and then have signal sent. First time that only resolved issue briefly.
We need a class action and an apology.

Today I solved my PCM xm radio problem with my 2010 Panamera 4 S. I bought a new Panamera 4 S. Got white this time rather than black. They gave me an excellent deal since Porsche NA said mine could not be fixed. And it was due for brakes tiers and 80k mile service.

Three Wheelin'
My 2010 is still resetting, and has all XM channels in spite of canceling my membership two weeks ago. Have called XM 4-5 times, with them assuring me they sent the disconnect signal each time, and that within 24 hours the radio will not be able to receive stations aside from 0 or 1. It has been 2 weeks and I still get all stations. Based on my call to them today, I'm not confident the dealer will perform the software upgrade. I'm considering trying to disconnect the XM antenna from the back of the PCM to see if that stops the incessant rebooting.
A complete failure on both XM and Porsche for not handling this more gracefully.

Well done. My kind of solution.

My Dealer updated it to v1.35 and did a hard reset. It started doing it again the next day. I'm looking at disconnecting the antenna also, even when XM shut off the service they are still sending signal to the car.

What ever happened.
I spent 4 hours yesterday at my local Porsche dealers, they fixed at least 30 cars either on-site or by phone. So they know-how, but no luck with mine. 5 different techs tried, 2 calls to PNA. My car is an early 2010 apparently it has a different version PCM. My dealer is going to "bump it up to the next step" whatever that means. Other than recalls this is the first problem I have had. Great car, I love my Pany.

Yes and no. When I do the hard reboot, it resets within three minutes. Today the dealer in Fremont Ca. said it cannot be rebooted, and I had to pay for a new one my self for $3100 and the PCM’s are out of stock for the next few months. I just emailed Porsche USA to see what they say.
