My 2016 Pan4 had AC issue. Our Fremont Porsche gave a shocking news after diagnostic. My Porsche will be gone soon. In the meantime, I recharge the AC DIY $50 can. worked well for now.
A/C CONCERN DIAGNOSIS
Comments: AFTER UTILIZING BORE SCOPE AND REFRIGERANT DETECTOR FOUND VISIBLE LEAK COMING FROM TOP CORNER OF EVAPORATOR CORE. REFRIGERANT DETECTOR GOES OFF WHEN STUCK INTO EVAPORATOR CORE AREA. EVAPORATOR CORE IS LEAKING REFRIGERANT AT A VERY SLOW RATE. REPLACE EVAPORATOR CORE AND EXPANSION VALVE.
Repair Estimate:
$11085.20

Doug I know a deep quarry we used to scuba dive in we can meet at to troubleshoot your car. It's parking brake works OK correct?
Joking aside holy S$%T that is expensive. Is it the parts or labor that are the heavy hitters? I'd love to see the a pic of the quote if it is not too much to ask.
Cheers, Mike

This is the estimated repair from Fremont Porsche Fletcher Jones. There is no picture. Of course, it is a total bill when you get it fixed from Porsche. No fix the cost of fix is half of the car. It is time to trade-in.

Dropped my 22 TS off at the dealer this morning for AC problems. They said I should have it back by COB today. No call no car. Glad it is still under warranty.

Sorry to hear that. And so the ghost hunt begins. Glad it is under warranty for your sake also. will be interesting if the leak is in the evaporator core similar to Doug's car. Keep us posted - fingers crossed not too big an issue.
Cheers, Mike

The estimate is their way of saying they are not interested in the work. Get an estimate from an Indy. it makes economic essence to keep recharging yourself

Like justabout said, find an Indy mechanic. Just had the AC go out on my 2010 Panamera Turbo this summer. Bad compressor and condenser. Cost me around a grand.
