Default Problem with AC power plug in rear of Sport Turismo

The 115V power plug in my Sport Turismo is a strange little design. The conventional two-prong socket is recessed in a hexagonal shaped piece, and a conventional 2-prong plug doesn't clear that hexagonal surround. Has anybody dealt with this? Is there an adapter, extension cord, or whatever that will solve the problem? I have a heated ski boot bag I'm trying to plug into the car. I know I can use the 12V adapter, but the 115V will do a much better job of warming the boots!

Thanks for any help.

Many travel adapters can be found with US on both sides and would fit in just about any small opening, see the far right plug on this page

So here's the problem! The electrical socket is recessed 1/4" behind a frame which sits flush with the cover. The socket was installed upside down which prevents it from aligning properly with its frame. It shouldn't be recessed at all, and if it's not it will work A-OK. I have an appointment for tomorrow for dealer to fix it - should be pretty simple.. After 11 Porsches, it's the first part I've ever found that was misinstalled! (Not that there may not have been others that went undiscovered...)

Nice solution to find, and even nicer that the dealer will fix it!
