Insane... Now, they can be had for $40k and still look very modern. Love / Hate depreciation

I was looking around for brake caliper pictures one day and came across this 2013 Panamera Turbo S with a MSRP of $216k. Carbon ceramic brakes, many other options:

@CATMANUNO I would love to see a photo. I've got a 997.2 with that same color combination.

I went back and forth with the car below. It had everything I wanted, almost perfect build in my eyes. My only hesitation was it was an Executive (long wheelbase). Sometimes I look at them and love them due to increased road presence of the long wheelbase and long rear doors, but then other times it feels like the proportions are off 🤷‍♂️ The option list doesn't look impressive on the build below, but that is because so much came standard on the Turbo S and Executive. However, this isn't even close to the highest sticker in 2014. According to vinanalytics, the highest priced 2014 Turbo S Executive was $247,810 😲 (base $205,030). By contrast, the car I ended up buying (2014 Turbo), has a much longer option list, but much lower sticker $170,550 (base $143,120). Highest priced "regular" Turbo in 2014 was $195,310. The X80 Powerkit on the build in the first post was a $21k+ option. I don't think this was offered as option on "regular" Turbo Panameras after they introduced the Turbo S which included it as standard.

I find these older ones very beautiful. I test drove one and everything, inside and outside, felt very high-quality.

How is that Burmester sound system? I have the Bose and TBH it’s ok but not great compared to my other vehicles, some even with a Bose system too.

I was looking at one years ago with the same color combo you have but decided to go with Agate Grey with Marsala Red interior. Can’t go wrong with the combo you have.

These options added 59% to the base price.
If I convert ZAR to USD - Base vehicle was $147 275 plus options of $86 478 thus a total of $233 753 which was more than the price of a base turbo model at $232 215

My car has it and I agree. I've given a lot of thought to just removing it, but my kids think it's the coolest thing ever (and they're the ones in the back seat) so I'm keeping it for now I guess.

Interesting thread! If you have the resources to keep these things in the road, they really represent one of the best values in used cars.
