Finally grabbed a 971.2
After I talked big game about how the 970 looks better (and then disappearing) I zeroed in on a 22 GTS. I purchased it in Riverside CA and then drove it back to the Seattle area through Reno. (395-CA139-97-OR58-I5). Two days of getting to know the amazing machine. The rear axle steering and PDCC make the car feel so much smaller than it truly is, until I started waxing it.
I’m in the process of fixing the only dumb thing I’ve found on the car so far and will share results and 3d print files for replacing the wireless phone cooker with a hidden/discreet MagSafe charger in the same place.

Great pick up Zach. I'm from Seattle and literally in the process of shopping for a Panamera in Cali as well and have so many questions lol. Did you buy from a dealer? How was your buying experience? How was the drive home? Leaning more towards driving it up as it would be a great experience however nervous about potentially doing cosmetic damage that could occur during the drive. Anything specific you did to prepare your car for the drive?

Driving back up via Reno is awesome, mostly. Next time I would stay on 97 all the way up to 82 in toppenish. I5 from Eugene to Renton can apply a vacuum to my Johnson.
it has ppf back to the doors so didn’t worry about damage. The drive back gave me time to understand the vehicle’s functions and capabilities. It eats highway miles very well. For going as far as I can in one day I’ll take it over my ram 3500.
For multi day interstate work it’s still the megacab diesel on 37s.
