Interesting points:

- 2.9TT retained, unlike in 9Y0.2
- 2-chamber air springs adopted in place of 3-chamber, same as 9Y0.2
- no ST
- nothing mentioned in the article about S or GTS variants

I don't think 353 HP can get you to 181 mph in this size car.

The 2019 base is down 25 hp from this one (single turbo 3.0), and top speed was rated at 165 mph, still pretty high, but realistic based on area and CD.

Frontal area is about 29.6 sq feet and the drag ceof (CD) is about 3.6 (2019 and 2024). To reach 180 mph would take 414 rear wheel HP to accomplish.

The 2018 road test from C&D of the 330 hp 2wd base had the 0-60 time recorded at 4.7 sec, so the 5.2 sec estimate for the new 2024 base at 353 hp could be high (very high).

Is it just me or are all the pics in the article tiny? Intentional/required by Porsche I guess?

I also cant figure out the headlights, I assume thats some partial camo going on but in some of the pics it doesnt't look like stuck on camo.

No GTS is not surprising, that usually comes out the in the 2nd or 3rd year of a new refresh/generation I think? Same for Turbo S trim.

S trim should be available at launch but maybe they're still trying to decide what powertrain to put in it.

"The optional Sport exhaust can be paired with a two-stage synthesizer that fills the cabin with even rowdier vibes."
Synthesizer..? Soo fake noises via the speakers? noooo!

"Out back, the luggage compartment can now hold two XL golf bags thanks to some repackaging and a slimmer subwoofer."
Probably the only thing I'm jealous of when looking at 2024 compared to my 2023...

Did I miss them mentioning the 4S?

Interesting they are highlighting the reduced complexity of the new suspension. Normally it seems each iteration is more complex, not less.

I know the base frequency response of the Bose in my wife's 2019 Panamera is easily 2x as powerful as in my 2023 Bose Cayenne. I think her car's sound system is some of the best I have heard on 4 wheels.

It's window dressing attempting to hide cost reduction/cost cutting.

958 air suspension was single-chamber. 9Y0 went to three-chamber, the best thing since canned beer. Now with 9Y0.2, two-chamber is better than both sliced bread AND canned beer.

Same with 970 to 971. 970 had single chamber, 971.1 had three-chamber, now 971.3 has two-chamber.

Hm you're saying thats due to the Cayenne having a slimmer sub like they're going to give the 2024 Panamera?
Makes sense i guess, unless the "slimmed down" part was purely electronics being shrunken down.

I still need to fiddle with my Burmester system some more, the sound has been good but nothing jaw dropping (and my point of comparison is a Subaru BRZ with stock sound system...)

Discontinuing the Sport Turismo -- okay, I've got a classic in my hands.

Validated this to not only be in North America, seems the same in Europe also. So sad to see the Sport Turismo go. So I snagged the last allocation, no more ST allocations available, at least not here. ST is like 60% of all Panameras sold, my local dealer confirms its popularity.

I missed the order window and they are incredibly hard to find used/CPO. I am disappointed no ST going forward.

Sorry to say your dealer is wrong : Worldwide, the ST is less than 10% of all Panamera sold....30% in Germany, the country where the ST is most popular...

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant the "60%" here locally where I live - not worldwide. either way, the body shape will be missed by quite a few still and hopefully becomes a "classic" sought after body type by those who know better
