Default Was ist das?

I saw this on my walk around Wellesley College pond. Tucked away in the back parking lot.

I'm not much of Panamera connoisseur but thought the aero kit looked quite unusual.

Comments?

Default Why did they do it?

Frankly, I think they've tarted up the car, it looks like a mobile version of a French ***** house. To each, his own, certainly not my idea of improvements. If there were a lots of these cars on the road, it might make sense to personalize your car such as adding a beer can exhaust.

Pimped that ride. Ugh. The wheels now need very large spacers.

I also thought it looks ridiculous, on so many levels. Your description is right on the money

I shudder to think how much this 'package' cost the owner. CF hood and CF rear valance, new front bumper, quad exhaust tips and plumbing behind . . .

I have not been able to locate the manufacturer of the aero package.

Any leads?

As I was leaving the parking lot, the owner and his wife/girlfriend/cousin/whatever showed up. I asked if the body kit was from Porsche or the aftermarket.

His response "It's special."

You can say that again!

I wonder what all this "engineering" did to the cars original aerodynamics? It was about 0.30 for the turbo and 0.29 for the S and 4S; primarily, the differences were due to the grill apertures. I would estimate this piece of "engineering" at 0.32 because of that gaping mouth in front. So much for the 188mph top speed.

Ignoring the color and the mods and all that, and, for a second assuming that you wanted to do "this" properly, after probably 20k of mods, please spend $700 on some spacers, please....
