Default Thoughts on Panamera S Hybrid

It might be quiet, but the Panamera S hybrid, which goes on sale in the United States this fall, posts ostentatious statistics: It will accelerate tranquilly and with zero emissions up to 43 mph, and at $95,975, it will cost $5200 more than the V-8–powered Panamera S. But at roughly 5.5 seconds to 60 mph, it’s nearly as fast as the V-8 car, and with an estimated EPA combined fuel-economy rating of 25 mpg, it will be stingier at the pump than the V-6–powered Panamera. - Reference article

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? Personally I love "zero emissions up to 43 mph" WOW...

Here are two that our dealers have for sale:

-2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid for Sale in Las Vegas, NV 89117

-2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid for Sale in Springfield, IL 62701

Far more important than zero emissions up to 43 mph is the range. My 4S currently is returning 26 mpg on average and better than 22 around town. On the open generally level road it's returned 32 mpg at an average speed of 67 mph.

From Road and Track:
"According to Porsche, the 2012 Panamera S Hybrid is fast (especially by hybrid standards), able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 6.0 seconds. Top speed is an impressive 168 mph, which will allow for high-speed blasts down the Autobahn. Of note, the pure-electric range of the Panamera Hybrid is approximately two kilometers, or 1.24 miles. And depending on conditions, pure electric driving is possible up to 53 mph.

Most likely at most likely at less than 53 mph, Porsche is pretty conservative about specs.
