The 993 skin is not available. The skin must be "melted" to the shape of the windshield, so simply getting a skin that is long enough will not suffice. I can sell you a flat piece of ClearPlex to be melted on for install. The install video is on the Clearplex.com website.

If you prefer to have it installed, I have a few shops to refer you to in the NY area.

I bought two, of for my 07' 997 and the other for my 97' Jeep Wrangler. I finaly got the chance yesterday to install one and did it on the Jeep in order to "learn" technique. I would give my install a 7 out of 10...

My edges are not straight (I have to cut to fit as the sheet was for a newer Jeep wrangler.) and that is no simple task! I followed the written directions as well as the install video. I went to check it this morning and noticed that along most of the edges there are air pockets.

Until I can correct this, I am not going to attempt the install on my 997!

Not sure what to do now...

I had a similar problem with my Cayman. And, despite being very careful, somehow got a small crease in the film as well as a few small scattered bubbles.

I'd suggest finding a pro to install it. It's not as easy as the video shows. And, you only get one try - you can't film it until you get it right!

Looking at the removal video, that might be easier. I may remove mine as it's not as clear as I would like.

I don't know of any installers up there. Many tint shops can install pretty easily if they watch the video on ClearPlex.com. This is also a very doable DIY project.

Hazing can result with a poor install. Otherwise the vision through the windshield should be clear. You may see some swirls or streaks if you wear polarized lenses. That is normal and you can see some patterns in the normal windshield with polarized lenses.
