For sale: 1 Konig race seat, no rails but a rail may be fabricated easily. I have two of these seats which I bought for my 928 and my 914/6. Neither ever made it into those cars. I will keep one for the 928 and sell this one. Originally they came out of a 911 but the owner used them for a few miles and concluded they were too difficult for him to get in and out in town driving. This seat is in excellent condition but a little dusty (I will vacuum it of course). The backrest does slightly recline with use of the twist **** on the side, but only about 10 or 15 degrees. It can be adjusted to fit either a wide body driver or a thinner body by using a clamp to either stretch out the bolsters or compress them. It fits me almost perfectly as is (6 ft, 170 lbs). I'm not sure this model is still available but at one time the Los Angeles dealer quoted me around $100 for seat rail adapters. If you're in the Norcal area, call and come by to sit in it and judge for yourself. I would not recommend this for street unless you do long distance touring. One benefit is that it sits lower in the car than stock, thus adding additional headroom for sunroof bodies. Call me at 800 595-0235 toll free. I need the space in my house so something must go.
