LOL

My poor son doesn't even want to ride in the car because of them and if anything ever happened it would hurt more than help.

One of Porsche's finer moments.

Without launching off onto yet another rant (been there, done that....some of the funnier threads from Larry), as someone who drives on track, I'm sure you'd agree the LAST thing you would want resting directly on your pelvic bone in the event of an impact would be a large, steel, cowboy belt buckle.

I know exactly what Porsche was thinking.....$$$$$
30K seatbelts to be replaced....or just install a cowboy belt buckle.

You won't get any arguments from me on this one. Porsche is being true to form, $$$$$ first. But this is one of their better SNAFU's. I had to laugh at the service manager when they returned the car. Even he was embarrassed by it.

Hey....what do these "cowboy belt buckles" look like? I am only wondering if they have installed them on mine? Being that I might have not seen the original's...I have nothing to compare from. Thanks

I don't have any pictures but you can't miss them they are about 4" square and shinny, placed at the base of the belt to take up some slack.

Just had fixed:
Sunglass holder in overhead console
Rubber seals in rear hatch (solved the leaking)
Still pounding away (my head on wall) to get coils done.

Mine just had a new DME installed. $3500 for the part they had to get 2 in, the first one was defective. The CT is running better than ever now. They have me logged in for an extended warranty in June. The car has to go through a full inspection and repair any issues before they will certify it.

What wasn't running well on yours that required the DME?

The turbo started to feel sluggish, and shifted hard, I hadn't been driving it much lately so I really didn't notice the gradual change over time but new something wasn't quite right. It wasn't until the brake booster failure warning signal came up that I decided to bring it in. Porsche flat bedded it in for free. They tested the brake booster and it checked out fine so they started checking everything else and determined it was the DME had gone bad. Now after getting back in it and driving the car just feels much better. Shifts smoother responds better all around hard to describe.
