I haven't driven a 955 Cayenne, so I'm not sure if the interior is exactly the same or not. |

I'm driving it this evening to our PCA meeting, I'll check the functions again on the rocker switch but I'm almost positive no TPMS on this vehicle.
Edit: Confirmed, no TPMS.

Wheels arrived this evening via UPS. Those things were packed/boxed WELL! Wheel, then foam paper (?), then a felt paper "hairnet" then a plastic ring on the outer rim, then thick cardboard on top of that overlapping the rim and all in a thick cardboard box. This for each wheel.
My wife thought I was nuts taking photos of bare wheels, I asked her why it's taken her 20 yrs to figure that out.

Looking forward to seeing how it looks and how it rides. Do you have the TPMS?

No TPMS on this vehicle. Just for S & G I weighed a wheel, 31 lbs.

They're on! Wheels are GTS (reps) in 20 x 9 (they come in 22" also but I didn't want to go that big). I like this size and it sure makes cleaning the inside of the wheel MUCH easier than with the 18".
The tires are the Yoko Parada Spec-X in 275/45 - 20 (40's can also be used but 45's are the option I took). Tires ($130 ea) w/ shipping $610 total Wheels (no invoice yet) apx $625 total (includes shipping) Mount/ road force balance was $87 Not bad IMHO I'll have more feedback after I get back from Palooza in AR this w/e (1100 mi. RT not inc. drives there).

1350 mi. review of the setup, Tires (and wheels) are outstanding. Quiet and smooth ride on the highway and outstanding grip in the twisties. I pushed these tires HARD on AR S.R. 7 and AR S.R. 23 (the Pig Trail) going to/from and during Porsche Palooza in the AR Ozarks. I had several comments from 993, Boxster and other drivers that were very impressed with how well the Pepper did on those drives. We had some pretty brisk drives (one of our crew, I'm not naming names, got ticketed for 79 in a 60 mph zone, the officer dropped it down from 83 so he wouldn't have to appear in court).
Overall I'm very pleased with the Pepper and the wheels/tires, wish I had done it earlier. FYI, I have yet to drive in rain (much less snow) with these tires.

Bill,
Do you have PASM? How is the ride quality on paved but bumpy roads? I currently have 19" but tire choices are very limited and expensive. Especially compared to what you paid for wheels & tires! And they look great!!! |

I don't have any issues with the tires but I did upsize from the std. 275/40 to 275/45 just to add a little more rubber. That's one of the reasons (in addition to tire prices) I didn't want to go with the 21's (or the aftermarket 22's).
