Default stubborn ball joint

Just ordered up two lower control arms to replace the clunkers in there now.

I've got all the tools except a decent tool for ball joint removal. I've got a pickle fork, but it's not wide enough. Bought a ball joint removal tool from HF, but it was too narrow too.

What are you guys using to get that joint separated. That seems to be the only pesky part of the project.

thanks in advance,

-travis

Just a follow up, I think I found the right tool.

28mm Ball Joint Tie Rod Separator

Hope to have it by end of week. Looks like a copy of the Snap On tool, so much for getting done before the weekend...

Good that you found a tool for the job. Thanks for posting. I'm sure this will help others in the future.

Travis - Random question: Did your Cayenne start handling or vibrating in any specific fashion that eventually pin pointed to replacing the control arms, or is this just an upgrade you decided to perform? I'm curious as I have just started to think about replacement as well due to some "concerns" I'm feeling when driving. Thanks.
