Default Tight Shifting

I'm a new Cayman S owner, just traded in my 996 for one. I am aware that the Cayman suffers from broken shifter cable syndrome and read through a few posts on different sites but could not find anything regarding my issue. I do not necessarily think this is a cable issue but perhaps a shifter bushing issue. The shifting through all gears and reverse seems to be very tight. Is this a symptom of a problem or is this normal for the 6 speed? Perhaps a lubrication issue in the shifter? Thanks.

How old is the car? If it's a brand new one it takes a little while to loosen up. But check with your dealer if you have concerns. My 987 took 5-6000 miles to really get perfect.
