Not sure where you heard that. Cup Car Solutions repairs and sells Sobek and Krontec air-jacks, 964 up to the new cups. I started the business while in college 20 years ago and my dad, Jack, operates the business now. Something we started to help fellow racers keep the costs down. You can reach Jack at 404-992-0809

In case anyone is interested, I just got off the phone with Jack, and they do rebuild air-jacks from the later 997s. Apparently, the early 997s (mine is a 2009) have Krontec units that cannot be repaired. When they fail, they go in the trash. The good news is, the replacements are repairable. Yippee.

His website info is probably outdated from the 997.1 era.

There is a way to tell if the 997 air jacks are rebuildable by looking down from the top, if it does or does not have a cross in it, but I am not sure which is which. I know this because Jack told me. We have used them in the past and I have raced against Jack and Phil as well. Good guys.

Thanks

Ed

The jacks with the cross bar are non-repairable.
