Default Wide lowering trailer for GT3 car

Hi all: I realize this isn’t a Cup car question, but hoping this community may be able to offer some advice given your collective expertise on this topic.

After doing a fair amount of reading and research, much of it on this forum, I decided to buy a Futura supersport trailer since it seemed like the best engineered solution for a car with low ground clearance. I went to load my 458 GT3 today for the first time, and much to my dismay found that my car is about 1/2” too wide for Futura trailer. Silly mistake on my part (never used trailer now for sale).

I’m wondering if anyone here is running a similarly wide car and can suggest a lowering trailer that can facilitate easy loading/unloading with an 83” or wider deck.

Race car pics below for your attention. Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer.

It the width problem due to the wheels / tires making contact with the sides of the trailer or body parts?

The wheels and tires are making contact.

That's an interesting idea. How did you raise the bed? Do you have any safety concerns about the car moving around and potentially sliding off of the trailer?

You might look into transport wheel / tire combos narrow enough that allow the car to load and unload without making contact and change wheels before use.

The one time I used a UHaul trailer I had a similar issue. I simply placed long 2X8's on the trailer and ran the car up onto them. That was enough to clear the issues.

I would certainly consider a closed trailer for a car like that. I use a Brian James rt5, but I don't know if these are available in the US.

For a car like that I think the proper enclosed trailer would be a much better fit.

Do you have any suggestions for an enclosed trailer? I prioritized a lowering trailer over an enclosed trailer for easy loading, but am going to reconsider all options.

My Turatello has hydraulic lowering axles (F26 BRA) .......I put Race Ramps under the back lid when open and that's it: just reel it in with the winch

Love that euro style trailer. How fast can you tow on those tiny wheels?
