And I will tell you this as far as acceleration - I made a new C8 corvette owner run out of derogatory adjectives in about 7 seconds.

Yes, that's the car. 6th gear on the interstate if just cruising. Prob turns 3700 at 80 mph.

RSRRacer,
Super cool, thanks for sharing. Enjoy seeing machinery of this caliber in places other than race tracks.

Awesome!

There is someone on Long Island that drives a green Ferrari challenge car on the street, no idea how he got plates for it.

I have driven my 996 Cup on the street . To say it was horrible is an understatement. You would have to soften and change alignment on everything if you want it tolerable and then it would suck on the track.

I hate even driving my cups to grid, I prefer one of the mechanics take it for me. They are just painful to drive at less than full throttle (especially with sequential gearboxes) and have the turning radius of a battleship. But it's cool to see someone take one on the road!

I thought so. Then Bob confirmed it when I asked him. That's awesome. I bet you got lots of looks!

I did change ride height by an inch or so and realign. Also has DOT rubber. And yes if would not be as good on the track. But this car is retired from track use and I have other cars for that. But it would be fun to drive it to a club race and then compete 😂

Old school! Like Gregg Wilson did back in 2000s. Race tires rode to the track on the roof of his SC.
