Default Buying a 911 Cup or Cayman Clubsport new from Porsche

Has anyone here ever purchased a 911 Cup or Cayman GT4 Clubsport directly from Porsche new? Is there a long queue? Are they going to play games like the dealers try to play with an RS order?

You have to commit to a sanctioned race series to get one.

i think all new Cup, GT4 and 992 GT3 R (the handful that were produced for 2024) cars, are sold out for this season, globally

I bought a 718 GT4 Clubsport (Track day) from PMNA in 2019. Overall pretty straight forward process. Was a different time then as anyone could order that model without commitment to a race series. While I was waiting they offered me a Comp spec, so they were not that hard to get. When I inquired about the GT4RS Clubsport I was told no I could not order one. Not sure what the future holds if indeed the next Cayman is an EV. Guess I was pretty lucky. First time on track in a brand new factory race car is something I'll never forget.

It's much tougher now to get new cars from PMNA but there are some good sources out there for lightly used examples.
I have sold a bunch of 992 Cups and GT4RS Clubsports recently if you are interested in one of those.
