Air jack operation 997.2 Cup
I am working my way through all my small issues on the car and next up is the air jacks.
My bottle setup works fine and the car lifts up, however when I bleed off the line pressure through my bottle manifold the jacks dont retract. I disconnect the wand from the car and still the jacks dont retract. I then have to go to the right hand side air jack and press the manual release valve, pressure releases and the jacks retract.
So am I doing something wrong? with my wand connected and my regulator bled off to 0PSI why is the car side staying partially pressurized?
It is not a huge issue but I would like to know how it should operate and if I need something serviced.
🙏

I knew I must have been doing something wrong. I had assumed that while the wand was attached that the pressure from the regulator all the way to the air jack would all be the same. But there must be a check valve on the car side that closes when I bleed off my bottle manifold trapping some residual pressure on the car side.
I can't check it out until I put the car back together but looks like this was the fastest and cheapest upgrade 🙏

Correct, it's a check valve. I've got a Sobek valve on my older car, I think your .2 will have the Krontec valve, but the operation should be the same - it's a bit of hard pull to release, and just make sure your foot isn't under the front wheel...

Both the Krontec and Sobek units are rebuildable but best to send them in as there are some big springs and special tools to do it.. Eveyones fairly reasonable to do so!

Cup Car Solutions for the Sobek ones .. Hoerr Racing Products for the Krontec units ... Best to take pics and send before sending the jacks in.. if the tubes have damage or wear its easier to replace.. they arent terribly expensive and both places stock them
