Default cam tweak, early 996 cup

Fooled around with cam timing. Early cup heads and cams on a 3.9 liter street engine. Small torque gain

Cheyne,
Interesting there's little interest in this post. Well I'm interested! Stock cam timing is 110/110. What timing gave you the increase in low end without sacrificing any power at the top?

So, the engine's essentially a Cup since you eliminated the VarioCam. What's the intake and exhaust? Are the heads and cams the solid lifter stuff? I presume you used the street car ECU so you could tune it.

Good power!

We had given the intake cams a bit of advance. They are in fact solid lift. I think this is all we will get out of this engine with the current cams and heads. We have a set of 07 World challenge heads (solid lift) for it next, just trying to find cams. I think we will try the current cams with the WC heads and gather data. If we could get 3.8 grand am power, i would be happy. Forgot to mention that we are using RS individual throttle bodies and intake with a Motec m600.
