Markus: There's a trackday organized by the local Porsche Club but they're accepting any road- or racecar whick is in a good shape and safe.
Because it's on a tuesday, there are almost none of those crazy "flatout-drivers"
I'm really looking forward to the event!

Jülicher is a good way to go! I only heard good things about their courses and coaches! But I don´t have any personal experience with them... I´m looking forward to hear your experiences with them!

I guess I will try the Jülicher 2-day event at Spa which is probably better for me as i have a bit more of a drive to get to Spa than you ...and then it always takes me the first 1/2 day of an event to get up to a somewhat of a decent speed
P.S. and I am am NOT talking about anywhere near the mind-blowing speed of the guys FLYING through Eau Rouge in the Porsche Sports Cup Endurance race (i noticed later on that it was Estre and Thiim amongst others who participated as "guest" drivers to prep for the Supercup race as part of the September F1... fantastic to watch on the day prior to the track day Mike (and I) attended

^^ Yup. And ride in the RIGHT seat sometime and see just how close you really are to that wall! You kinda want to be in the driver's lap the very time through at speed.

Still one of my favorite videos: Eau Rouge speed comparison between GT and F1:

First (wet) free practise is over and unfortunately Michael is last (P25) with a time of 2:56.071. That´s a delay of 14.083 secs to the first (Nicki Thiim) who did a 2:41.988...
First 8 cars are within 1 second...
Quali tomorrow should be on a dry track again... We´ll see how it works out for them...

Quali is over...
P24 for Michael who did a 2:33.021. So P24 on the grid tomorrow for the race! Radiator broke in one of the first laps...
Thiim is again the first with a 2:23.920...
The first eleven cars are within one Second...

Drifting
Wow! Another comaprison is the last lefthander, Blanchemonte, before the Bus stop chicane. In my 964 I have to lift off a little before that curve. In yesterdays F1 race everyone with a on board camera had full throttle all the way. And that at a speed twice of mine! There's a lot of grip in those cars!!

Here is a video of this year´s Sports Cup Endurance.
It was my second day in a 997Cup, so I was pretty nervous, with drivers in the field like Farnbacher, Thim, Enge, Engelhart, Estree, etc.

The fastest lap this weekend was by k. Estree, a 1;26. I only managed a 1:32, so there is space for improvements.
