What temp is too hot? AIM alarm @203
My first outing with the cup car 2001 (3.8L) I had some temp issues.
At Sebring I had an issue with the temp alarm going off (AIM Dash). It is set to 203F (95c).
There are no fans on the car and I keep bumping the alarm.
When going, the car seems to run around 200~205. In the paddock around 210.
Is this alarm set too low? (It was a Canadian car) At what temperature should I actually start being concerned and pull the car off the track or ease off? 225?

My AIM was set to 200 when I bought it and it alarmed each session. I changed it to 220 which is also the large red engine light alarm temp in center console. My running temps are around 180-190. Paddock idling is almost impossible without alarming.

I've worked on a bunch of GT 3 Cups for Grand Am and IMSA. I always set water alarms at 230 and oil at 250. In Motec you can do progressive alarms, so I started doing that on AIM MXL dashes. 230 one light comes on, 235, a second light comes on and at 240 the third light comes on. I put two oil temps on the opposite side with 250 and 255 the settings.
