Default FS: 2005 996 Cup 3 Time National Champion "Best of the Best"

For Sale is the current PCA GTC3 National Championship car. This car has been the National Champion car 3 of the last 4 years with 2 drivers. Car is in perfect condition. It is doubtful any other car ANYWHERE can stand up to this one. It has been maintained with an over aggressive replacement schedule. It is the last year for the 996 family from Motorsports so this car had all the last items from Motorsports including final ABS release, new muffler(factory original Muffler included with sale), etc. It was the best Motorsports made and in limited quantities. To the US Motorsports imported roughly 35 2005 models. So in addition to being a proven competitor, a blast to drive, it is a rare car to own.......

Here is work just completed

Engine Rebuild - 2 hours At a cost of over $35K. All GTC3 legal (3.6L) work but all new Motorsport Titanium Alloy rods, Pistons and Cylinders, 997 Heads (with complete new valvetrain, cams, and RSR Springs). All ancillary parts were also new including coils, fuel injectors, sensors, etc. No expense was spared.....

Motec - Car is equipped with a Motec ADSL2 Pro with shift light option, additional memory, and GPS

Transmission - The transmission was just rebuilt, 2 hours, with reliability in mind. Cost of rebuild was over $12K. All new bearings EVERYWHERE were installed as was a Chromoly Guard diff and many other items.

Clutch -Brand New 3 disc Sachs with transmission

Axles - 997 Generation 2 Heavy Duty "Green" Motorsport Axles, 2 Hours These sell from Motorsports for almost $4000 each.

Suspension - BRAND NEW (not just rebuilt) Sachs shocks with all new springs AND hardware including upper mounts. Brand New lower control arms. Also the front uprights are new (and obviously wheel bearings front and rear))

Brakes - Calipers are 1 year old and were just rebuilt with Porsche Kit using the ceramic spacers front and rear. Calipers also have a fresh coat of paint.

Cooling - All Brand New CSF Aluminum radiators as well as a new coolant reservoir, water pump, thermostat, and EVERY RUBBER HOSE ON THE CAR was replaced.

Fuel - Brand new fuel pump and injectors

Body - The body had a full repaint 2 years ago when we got the car. It has Clear Bra over the entire hood and bumper and part of front fenders to protect against rock chips. The body is in excellent condition. Even the front windshield was replaced in September last year

Battery - Includes a 5lb PC925 size Lithium Ion Battery ($1,200)

With so much attention to detail and best of everything it is hard to list it all.

The car has just gone through an overhaul of over $75,000. You would be buying the best example of a 996 Cup anywhere. Also with SOOO much done and new, you can enjoy years of driving with very little maintenance. Car will come with 2 sets of BBS Wheels and the airjack (airjacks rebuilt 18 months ago) wand.

Car is available in Tampa. Please serious buyers contact me and I can get you as many pics as you need. We have a LARGE amount of spares we are selling separately. Thanks Bob

Sale Price $105,000

This was a fantastic car even before Tom bought it. The upgrades and updates are all done by the top notch specialists in the market. Sounds like it's even better now. Should be all set for another national championship!

Default 2005 Cup

I've known and worked on this car since 2007. I've posted pictures of the prior two owner's liveries. This is a very nice car! GLWS
