That still seems low for an '04. A search of autotrader shows all new cars asking between US $420K and MSRP, and used in the high $390k range.

Does anybody have any other "real" deals they have seen lately?

Btw, I think any dealer that has a number of CGT they bought for stock deserves to lose their asses on those cars. What a stupid decision. I suppose one could "help them out" and help yourself to a healthy discount on one. If they have 8 cars sitting there, they either have $3.2 mil tied up, or they are paying tens of thousands in interest every month. I can't see how that pencils.

I would have the white one from Naples Porsche in my garage right now but they want over 500k for it. That's right 500. I have to believe they are going to have it for a while.

My local dealer just sold one of their remaining three for MSRP. Guy was a new customer just walked in off the street and didn't haggle. Go figure?

Les, probably this guy will sell the car or kill himself within six months because he really doesn't know what he is buying. As they say" More money than brains "

I thought Champion or one of the Texas dealers had a white one.

Why doesn’t Porsche’s web site allow you to search dealers for pre-owned C GT’s as it does for all other models?

Is this to limit competition between dealers?

Default '04 cgt for sale by dealer

chambers (boston) has been listing in the wsj the owner's ("ceo") red cgt w/ 750 miles. asking $369k. this car has been sitting in their showroom for over a year with no buyers in sight. probably goes for $325k or less. market for these things is cratering.

Default Oh, really.

"probably goes for $325 or less"

It is comments like these that challenge only the intellectually challenged.

They are not cratering. This car is unsold because there are new ones available still. When they are all "used", then we will see.

Or maybe he'll store the CGT away, sit at home and read car magazines, and then hang out on the Ferrari chat boards, spending endless hours telling people about how unsafe their cars are. Nah, there's only one jackass that I know that does something like this. He'll probably enjoy driving a fantastic car, and not worry about what some half-wit envious fool thinks about the Carrera GT. Just my opinion.

Champion definitely didn't. The Texas dealers I am aware of only had silver and black. I ended up buying a 430 Spider. One of my concerns about the GT was the ease of selling it. With the 430, I know that if I wanted to get rid of it, worst case, I could take a 25 or 30 K hit and get rid of it immediately. With the Carrera I was concerned that even dropping the price 25 or 30k I might still have it sitting for months and months. There were other things that caused me to go with the 430, but this was a real concern.
