Default New CGT videos

As I posted in the "Yellow CGT" thread, I finally figured out how to get video from my camcorder to the laptop, to youtube and finally here. Anyway, here's some videos of and from inside the CGT. Some were taken over a year ago - that's how long it took me figure out how to get them here. Enjoy!

Thanks guys!

Porsche Nut, 4th and 5th were shot in a top secret location. But you're right, the best roads I've been on...anywhere!

Smoothcab, truth be told, all I did was try the same thing again on a new laptop and it worked this time. Go figure!

Germany to OK? Sorry, although you're not that far from some of the best roads in the country. Head one state to your rignt and explore NW Arkansas.

Depends on which vid, but if you enlarge and can see the speedo, the tick marks are in 25mph increments. When the speedo needle's on the tick mark at about the "9:00" position, that's 75mph. There's also a digital readout at the bottom of the speedo. Regardless, here's my recollection:

#1 - Don't know. I was playing cameraman on that one.
#2 - Hit about 100mph. There's always a wet spot in the tunnel so not even close to WOT.
#3 - Crawling.
#4 - Probably 50-70ish. Cold morning, cold tires on a road I've never been on before.
#5 - 70-140ish. Again, cold morning, cold tires but not as tight a road as #4 so definitely faster.

Regardless, I've got no illusions of imitating Walter Rohrl so I tend to stay within my capabilities, especially when carrying precious cargo!

Hey,

Surprisingly, I've never gotten ticketed by them. I keep waiting for them to ambush me at the end of the tunnel though.

Enjoy Austin. There are some great roads there!

No, and just kidding about the secret. It's NW Arkansas. That whole quadrant of the state is full of similar roads.
