I got one... WOW!
I plunged and bought a 2005 with 6500 miles on it and it was delivered this afternoon. I really, really like it. It has a genuine visceral feel to it. Definitely the closest thing I have driven to a race car for the street (Love the noisy clutch at slow speeds!). There is definitely something to be said for the driving physicality of shifting gears. It has been awhile since my 996 GT3 cup racing days and have been spoiled by paddles so my heel-toe definitely sucks!
I got used to the starting with the clutch fairly quickly, although I haven't done a standing-start on an up slope yet.
Makes the McLaren feel like a "regular" sports car (albeit freaking fast) and the Cali like a sedan.
As an additional bonus, my wife loves the car. She got in and drove it without any issue.
I thought I might only put <1000 miles a year on it... that might be tough. I guess it doesn't matter if I never sell it!
Any sources for an owner's manual?
