highly doubt people are wadding up their cars over trophies (or tires). It was mentioned above, but some of the classes have contingencies and it hasn't increased the carnage or aggression at all. The people who probably act reckless for a set of tires pribably act the same way for the stickers.

I can see contingency money changing things... that's actual money and gain.

But Mo's talking about trophies here. The trophy isn't "worth" anything tangible. To Mo's last point: The kind of guy who's going to throw down and risk it all FOR A TROPHY is the kind of guy who's going to do that regardless of whether or not a trophy is at stake.

Hahahaha! Listen if I am losing, the best way to down the sorrows of a loss is with a big cup of Tequila! It can be interchangeable for celebration too, which I am hoping to use it for! Either way I can't wait!

It's up to the region/zone hosting the event to provide trophies... Some do it better than others!

I have a trophy from a NASA wintercross event that I really got a kick out of. It's the first place, race RWD group, and the trophy is a chintzy 5" tall gold colored plastic goat. I think the state fair must have cancelled an order. My buddy got one and his was a chicken or something like that. The worthless gimmicky ones are the best.

In PCA GT4 Trophy East Series, we have Champion class, Masters Class and Pro class (for the MR cars).
It is almost too many classes within the series as it is. Wouldnt want to add anymore.
The less classes the better IMO.

For 2018 the PCA Trophy East Series appears to be a combination of GT4 and 991 GT3 cars to become GT3 Trophy East. So we will have 3 classes minimum for all 3 cars. Add the masters class and that is 3 more classes within.

I have noticed a PWC has a tonne of classes this year. Almost everybody gets a trophy! lol

Less is more IMO.

If they gave out an award for most crashed cars in clubsport the extra income for the trophy makers could affect the GDP.

I'm not a big fan of $5 trophies at every race. But PCA does give trophies for each class annually (which I support). The folk who win points races consistently should (and do) get rewarded.
