This question is made out of sheer curiosity.... Virtual awards to the best and worst!!!

My 1993 RS America gets 8 mpg.

I ran a 2hr enduro (actually 1h 55 min with pit stop) on approx 18-19 gallons in my 944-spec car. That was 60 laps at 2.25 miles per lap so was 135 miles.

Avg mileage was 7 to 7.5 mpg.

I get around 8 mpg in the S2 at what passes for speed on my part.

that is also the same mpg the Durango gets towing the fully loaded Haulmark. Thbis is a very expensive sport.

I should add that although I get 8 mpg on track, the "smiles per gallon" are absolutely HUGE.

We get 5.5 to 6mph at a tracks like laguna Seca or Thunderhill. This is while running 1:40s at Laguna and 2:02s at Thunderhill. it will depend on your hp and the cabilities of the car. the more the cabilities, the longer you can keep your foot in it, and get your foot back in it after turns!
cars with more hp (we are around 400hp), like 500hp, get closer to 4.5mpg.

In a speedGT race at Laguna seca, Ill usually come into the pits after the race and the reserve light will come on after buring 11gals over a 60mile race , with an best lap speed of over 80mph ave.

However, i got 22mpg driving the race car home!!!! (only one who drove their race car to and from the race!)

About 3.5 mpg. I used 105 gals for 365 track miles at VIR awhile back.

Cha-Ching goes the register!

Interesting question, Erick. The last time out, my consumption plummeted to around 6 mpg--I think yanking the catalytic converter may have had something to do with it.

With the Recaro's and lightened exhaust, my car's weight is probably close to yours. The one variable is that I was redlining it a ton into T1 and T5 at Road America (just couldn't bring myself to put it into 5th while doing 135 mph). Of course, after experiencing fuel deprivation coming out of T3, I'll probably change shift habits.

I get ~8.23295837462 MPG.

Truthfully, I dunno...but it's interesting to see that the average is ~ 7.5MPG.

I normally show up with a full tank and two 5gal. jugs worth, just about get topped off with 5gal. towards the end of the 1st day, refill that jug that evening and use up both the 2nd day, returning home with just below a 1/2 tank.

I like to keep my tank above 1/2 - I have experienced fuel starvation before...when I first got the car. A harrowing experience when coming out of turn 2 at VIR...by the time I was halfway through T3 I was thinking, "WHAT the *#&$% was that???"

So, now that I've provided a word problem - how much do I use??

I can rephrase it like:

Near the Eastern Seaboard, Jeff starts out his track weekend at the 3.27 mile course of VIR...at that very moment, on the opposite side of the continent, ErickRSA starts off his weekend at Pacific Raceways 2.25 mile course - both have equivalent "weapons" of choice, filled to the brim with 93 octane gasoline...which one reaches the finish line first??

Uh, er, I mean - how much gas do they use and who has to top off with a 5gal. jug 1st??

Hey, thought I'd make it a bit more interesting.
