Mexican F1 Race

It was one of the more exciting qualifying sessions in a while. I wish it was a mixed field at the top every race. I think Hartley is doing an incredible job of adapting to these cars in a short period of time. Hopefully Seb and Max won't take each other out in T1.

I thought that those top 4 were all really hanging it out there in today's qualifying. Great to see.

And for Alonso to be 2/10th of poll in Q1 with a car that was 12mph slower in the speed-trap, that was pretty cool! The car must have hooked up well in the twisty bits. Of course, if they continued to Q3 I think the McLaren would have been in the .9 - 1.3 sec off pass range, Seb. & Ver. put in some killer laps.

Waiting until the afternoon for a race feels weird. Setting up to be a very interesting race. Not sure what sort of overtaking opportunities there will be but having the teams mixed at the top certainly should be fun. Liberty should be looking at this starting grid and asking itself, how can we make this happen every single race?

The thin air at 7000' is perhaps the only thing all year that can hold back the power of Mercedes engines.
I find it incredibly "Red Bull ish" to give the new spec engine to Verstappen and not Ricciardo who is 70 points ahead of Max!! Ricciardo has got to get out of RBR after next year.

With memories fresh from Singapore, I wonder if Seb will try the chop move at the start. I think Max will beat him to the first corner and lead the race. I expect Ham to play it safe to clinch the championship. Look for Bottas to be aggressive to make up for his abysmal performance of late.

Vettel ran a lap of the gods to win pole--wouldn't be surprised if he was P1 in the race too (if he and Max can keep from punting each other). Mercedes doesn't look like a player this time....hahaha

Max will be pissed he missed out on pole and drive like a demon. Nothing to lose.
Lewis better steer clear if he wants to wrap up his WDC in Mexico.

Hmmmm...
Mercedes locks up the constructors championship, and HAM is a Shoe(ey)-in for the WDC, and suddenly other teams are competitive...
