i love this forum!!
you guys are so cool.
Im going to the June 23-24 event at willow. The tips for prepping are great. Awesome idea about the storage bins.
Im so used to bikes where you have an attached support vehicle carrying all the goodies. But in a 997 not so much space.
I think Ive narrowed it down to the following:
metric tool kit wrenches and sockets
motion pro tire gauge
small cooler or medium if I can fit one
chair
arai helmet
hat
mechanix gloves
motor oil
long sleeve cotton shirt
bicycle pump
painters tape for numbering and to cover up the head and tail lights
Razor scooter
i think that covers it?
am I missing anything?
thanks all
mike

997 typically has a compressor in the frunk.... under the carpet.

IMO...a streetcar should not need anything more than gas, 1 qt of oil just in case, a torque wrench for wheels, and a tire gauge. The driver needs protection, a chair, and water in an ice chest with food. At WSIR there is no good food. When I drive I eat light anyway like 1/2 of what I would normally eat. In the town 6 miles away there is taco bell, subway, jack in the box and a tom's burger. On the other side of the freeway is foster's freeze. Keep going around the train tracks in Rosamond and there is the best Tire shop I have ever used. They even know how to properly deal with porsche centerlocks! They look like budget with a nice store but no lifts. They use floor jacks to do the job right out in front where you park. But they are the fastest most efficient nicest guys and care about your car. They love racers from the track. I even stop for tires on my way to mammoth when I need new rubber. Around there is the Wayside cafe. Some say it is good. I tried to eat there and the service sucked so bad I left. Oh well....it was busy maybe it is that good?

Gin and tonic, stating the obvious.
There are some really cool foldable crates (Clevermade?) sold at Costco and other places that are great to have around if you can fit one in the trunk - fits collapsed in the 996 I know.
Lays flat and pops up to offer a lot of storage for the bits and pieces you may want to keep in one place in the paddock.
Have fun!
Cheers

I didn't read the entire thread and there surely are many great suggestions.
Another question is What NOT to bring to the track?
....Your ego. Best left at home.
Enjoy!
