This stuff works better than anything else and will not damage rubber seals or anything else.

While R3 is amazing, Liquid Performance is the bomb. Nothing comes close. Literally dissolves the rubber. While expensive, a little goes a long way.

Used R3, then a track race wrench showed me Meguires wax clear (A1216) used on aCup Car, that is what I now use, quicker than R3 to remove track rubber and leaves wax behind for the next clean up.

Try Molecule as it works much better than R3.

For those suggesting washing the car AFTER I disagree. The car should be washed BEFORE to remove any loose dirt so that when you wipe after applying the R3 you are not moving dirt around and marring the paint in the process.
so the process appears to be:
1) wash car and dry
2) treat with R3
3) reapply any sealants and/or wax over the areas that you treated with R3

We use R3 to clean the wheels on an IMSA prototype. It does an incredible job off cleaning rubber, greasy goo, and brake dust. It leaves a slick finish behind which make it easier to clean next time around. However it makes the barrels of our wheels so slick that wheel weights won't adhere without first cleaning inside area with brake cleaner.
Great stuff. Used to use meguiars cleaner wax but r3 is the bees knees

R3 is also great at removing grime that will not come off with a wash mitt
That is a polish, so it is removing more than just the rubber marks.

R3 works very well, but so do most of the better cleaner waxes as can be seen from this thread. The advantage of a cleaner wax is it leaves a wax finish unlike solvent only solutions. I've had great success with Zaino All In One in the past, although for my Modesta coated car which hasn't been waxed in ~3 years, most anything does the trick.

WD40 will remove rubber residue as well. When I worked for an anti-vibration rubber product company it's how I cleaned burned and melted rubber bits off parts after grinding and modifying rubber geometries on prototypes. Maybe not as pleasant and friendly as the Meg's R3, but a whole lot cheaper. Just spray WD40 on a rag and start rubbing.

It's worth mentioning that there's no rubbing involved with R3. It just wipes off.
Honestly, I hate dealing with WD40 on stuff. The smell lingers and it seems to end up everywhere.
As for the price... well... we'll see how long the bottle lasts. If it lasts me a couple years, I'm hardly complaining about the $32 or whatever it was.
