Love these and could be interested but man that 981 just costs so much to fix if it gets banged up compared to the 987 cars.

i wonder how much is left in the tank. Car looks amazing but coming from Porsche i wouldnt expect anything less. Curios does anyone know if some drivers left foot brake since they do not use a clutch (some may w a clutch as well) and if they are faster using the left foot.

The kid is pretty incredible in pretty much any car you put him into. Curious to see the BoP adjustments for the race. I bet there was a lot of sandbagging going on by some.

Great feedback thanks.

Have you used the new PIWIS system yet? Much different to the previous?

I'd expect the BOP adjustments to even things out.

I would think the majority left foot brake if there's no clutch to use. And like you said, even with a standard manual with a clutch, some may left foot brake in situations where a downshift isn't required.

Impressive the top 6 cars are only separated by 0.33 seconds. From cars 7 thru 41, there's only a 1 second gap.

I inquired with PMNA as to when they expect to sell / deliver non-professional "Trackday" versions. I was told it would start around September after they have all the racing teams supplied with the MR cars. I don't know if the Trackday car makes any sense or not. Perhaps if you are not running IMSA, are the air jacks and other nice goodies needed?

To me the trackday version makes sense from a safety perspective. I like the idea of a factory cage. But the Trackday model from the description has a fire extinguisher rather than a fire system. With the cage it seems the fire system would be good to have. In performance terms the suspension adjustability seems the biggest difference. Airjacks would be a lower priority for me.

I have been using alot of left foot braking in the car last season and now this season.

Trackday version would be great for driving instruction school cars.
Also nice alternative D.E car for those looking to trailer a car to the track to enjoy with maybe a little club race use too.

Not so much much fragile, but expensive to repair because of aluminum.

the car has a lot more "grunt" and you can hear it too. Sounds meaner. The "punch" feels better compared to the 981 when you kick it down.

Completely agree. Guess we'll see when they release the new BOP's. I suspect another 50+ kg on the 981 which ran the Roar at 1320 kg. Last years GT4's were at 1295.....
Ride height are different too, 981 front at 81mm vs 75mm last year, and rears the same at 94mm.
Tank capacity is down from 74L to 68L.

Does anyone know if there were any 781 GT4's participating at the Roar?....
