Default RennPoints updated for 2019 changes

I've implemented the following (please let me know if I missed anything)
  • Bonus points are scored for each in-class car beat that started the race (i.e., you get points for beating DNF and DQ drivers). Still a max of 10 bonus points
  • Up to 3 races count at an event (2 final sprint races plus the enduro if one is offered. Otherwise final 3 sprint races)
  • Best 13 races count
  • Minimum of 7 races needed to be eligible for the championship
Obviously, with only one event run so far, it's difficult to test that the last two were implemented correctly. However, you should be able to see the correct implementation for the first two with Sebring.

Default Buttonwillow track configurations

Thanks, Brian.

While I'm here I'll follow up something that got lost in our private message boxes a while ago.

For the club races at Buttonwillow, there have been two different track configurations used, and so the lap record / lap prediction bases are wrong because the faster configuration is rarely used.

The normal Buttonwillow configuration is called "Race #1 CW" (cw = clockwise), and for example a decent SPB lap time has been sub-2:10 with the fastest just recently cracking sub-2:05.
Most events have used this configuration.

The other Buttonwillow configuration that has been used just a couple of times, and not very recently, is "Race #13 CW". It is shorter ("sweeper" replaces the "star mazda" corner), with the SPB lap record of 1:59. No one's going to get anywhere near that on the usual course. It throws some of the Rennpoints history / records / prediction displays out of whack vs. reality.
I believe the #13 configuration has only been used for two PCA CR events (listed on Rennpoints) :
2014-11-15/16
2016-11-12/13

So maybe for those two events you could assign them to a different course called "Buttonwillow-#13" or however that works.
Thanks for your efforts!

Fixed. I added the Buttonwillow - #13 designation.

Thanks for doing this, Brian. One small correction needed. Under “Rules” on Rennpoints, it still shows the old wording for bonus points. Could you update that with the new 2019 wording, please?

5. Bonus Points: A racer will earn 1 bonus point for each car in class that starts the race and finishes the race behind the car driven by that racer. Bonus points will be earned by all cars finishing the race except the car that finishes last in the class. Cars that do not finish the race (DNF) or are disqualified (DQ) count as cars beaten in the class. There will be a 10 point limit on bonus points available in any race. For example: The car that finishes 21st in a 22 car field where all 22 cars finish will earn 1 bonus point. In that same race the car that finishes first will earn 10 bonus points.

Rennpoints is the best. You should add some functionality for folks to voluntarily contribute. The guys at CellarTracker prompt me for like $10-20 bucks a year which I am always happy to pay.

Agreed. Thanks for maintaining this for the community. There's nothing wrong with letting folks voluntarily contribute. I would love to.
