Default Rate my NT01s!

So far I'm enjoying my first set of Nittos. These have 4 track days on them and a total of about 1500 miles. Buttonwillow, Big Willow, Autoclub and Buttonwillow respectively. I generally run 4-5 sessions and 5-7 hotlaps per session. Target hot pressure is 34psi, but I usually end up slightly higher

I noticed they were feeling greasy in the last session, but what I've read on the forum suggests these get better as they approach full slick. What say you Rennlist?

They look good. Rotate them more. That top tire likely has one day left before it cords. Generally you have about a DE track day when the tread disappears.

I've heard and felt the "they get better until they cord", but evidence suggests otherwise. I stupidly put new ones on the front and well worn on the back and the car was so loose to be nearly undrivable. New has more grip than old.

The inside edge on the tire in the top pic shows excessive wear. Trash it.

You should get two more track days from the rears and four + on the fronts.

Good luck

Look for every dot/hole on a side edge of tires especially for fronts. Once they are gone, you probably only have 20 min of fun left if any.

Well they're certainly not helping you. At this point grab a new set and maximize each lap on them. Bad tyre driving isn't good driving!

I also think you would enjoy them more at 31-32psi hot. Just my humble opinion. I find they feel much less greasy at the lower psi

Thanks for the input everyone. I did one more event at Big Willow (3 sessions, ~30 laps) and didn't have any issues, though my times weren't so great. I'll try airing down the new set I just put on to 32 psi on Friday at Buttonwillow.

The final condition:
