Default Cayman brake cooling kit

My friend Chris has made this rear brake cooling kit for Caymans. Very capable fabricator who has built TransAm cars from scratch.

Prototype is on my car. He also has a very effective design for the front.

Shoot him an email if interested: chris@carfab.ca

Matt, I just dropped my car off with Chris @ CarFab for cage build & other upgrades. I had a chance to check your car out on the lift, including close inspection of these rear ducts.

Was very impressed and added them to my work order, along with the front ducting system that's on your car.

On my 987.2 the torque vectoring was still enabled in the programing. My race shop turned that off and it helped with the rear brake heat. Then the LSD completely solved the issue.

Nobody racing these cars has the torque vectoring enabled. But agree that is a pad wear and rear brake heat problem for DE cars.

The challenge is episodic high brake heat tracks like WG or Road America - which often results in progressive heat sink during enduros +/- rear rotor cracking.

Not meaning to be Captain Obvious here, but does that setup PULL hot air away from the rotor? I like the design, clever!
