ST-43 make a dump truck brakes sound quiet. Ferodo are quiet as a church mouse.

Clark, will these be avail in older (SC/Carrera) pad shapes? I think FCP11 and FCP2 are the ferodo codes. Thanks

Not Available in DS3.12 yet but by the end of the summer I believe they will be available.

Spent this weekend at VIR and 3 days earlier in the year at the Glen with the DS3.12 pads. They were good on the track but not nearly as durable as the Raybestos ST-43 pads. And the ferrodos cannot be driven on the street, yes they are nice and quiet, but they have trouble stopping the car when cold. So back to the noisy but streetable Raybestos for me. Clark, I’ll call you tomorrow.

I'm with Mike. I drove the DS3.12 on my track / occasional road Corvette for a couple years without any issues. They didn't make any noise and they stopped the car as well cold as any of my normal street pads.

Clark, if you have them, send me a full set for each car. You have my info and the cc #.

Please confirm.

Thanks,

Bruce

same here, no issues with the 3.12 on the street, even in cold conditions. if there is a build up of brake dust they do squeal.

Strange. I've been running DS3.12s on teh Cayman this season. In my almost 20 years of tracking street cars these are the loudest pads I've ever experienced. They are insane. I can normally deal with typical track pad noise on the street as I don't drive it super super often. These keep the car practically parked.

I'm happy with their performance on track, although they might be a little torquey for street tires. I think I liked DS1.11s level of braking torque better.

The 1.11’s replaced the 3.12’s, didn’t they?

The other way around IIRC.

Any thoughts on running 3.12 on the front and finishing off some PFC08s in the rear? 2010 Cayman S girodisc rotors.

Thanks, S.

Could very well be.

Too many track days and too many pads gets me confused sometimes.

I see the description on a couple of sites as :

DS3.12 is a high-output, heavy duty circuit compound. It is suitable for larger and heavier non-formula cars on the track.

Temperature range 400-1560° F

Very High Torque - High Initial Bite

and

Ferodo DS1.11 is designed for medium to high friction and high temperature track use.

Temperature Range 400° - 1300° F

High Torque - High Initial Bite

The 3.12 replaced the 1.11. Be aware that Ferodo prices increased substantially.
