He's using parts (i.e. more) of the track that I've never seen from anyone else, including factory drivers. Dude can wheel a car. Interesting discussion at the end on tires and suspension.

Yeeeaahhh.........the combination of "tourists" out on track, and drivers without proper safety gear, always makes me nervous when watching these videos.

Cool video nonetheless and the guy can wheel a car.

During TF at the Ring, you’re actually prohibited from wearing HANS. Even the harnesses are meant to be only 4 point with a “normal” seatbelt release. All in the name of being street legal as TFs are when the Nordschleife is considered a public road. No idea why helmets are OK but other stuff isn’t. During track days, proper harnesses and HANS devices are on full display.

Im not defending the practice, just saying it’s how it is.

That's a wonderful video, thanks! A great study in body language: slow is smooth & smooth is fast.

Quite a bit quicker than my one single solitary lap of the Nordschleife back in the day in a lightly armored Mercedes-Benz 6.9 sedan

He is a former SuperCup driver ("Kuba" Giermaziak). My teamate (w Mario Farnbacher ) in 2013 ALMS Sebring 12. Last race with proper LMP1 cars at Sebring. Cool memories. including leading with 3hrs to go and got stopped for a malfunctioning stop light that took us out of contention.

On his good days he was as fast as Sean Edwards (We were all in same team and could compare all data)

Default Bumps, what bumps?

Them tapes never get old.
Especially with 911 noises.
I am always amazed with pros' ability to make it look like it is easy.
Unfortunately, I can id better with the passees.

thanks for sharing,
