He's using parts (i.e. more) of the track that I've never seen from anyone else, including factory drivers. Dude can wheel a car. Interesting discussion at the end on tires and suspension.

During TF at the Ring, you’re actually prohibited from wearing HANS. Even the harnesses are meant to be only 4 point with a “normal” seatbelt release. All in the name of being street legal as TFs are when the Nordschleife is considered a public road. No idea why helmets are OK but other stuff isn’t. During track days, proper harnesses and HANS devices are on full display.
Im not defending the practice, just saying it’s how it is.

Quite a bit quicker than my one single solitary lap of the Nordschleife back in the day in a lightly armored Mercedes-Benz 6.9 sedan

On his good days he was as fast as Sean Edwards (We were all in same team and could compare all data)

Bumps, what bumps?
Them tapes never get old.
Especially with 911 noises.
I am always amazed with pros' ability to make it look like it is easy.
Unfortunately, I can id better with the passees.
