I was out in Monterey for business last year. I couldn't find a Porsche, and ended up renting an SRF3 as an arrive-and-drive from Dave Harriman; was an amazing experience! Zero regrets- I'd recommend it to any experienced driver in a heartbeat, such a visceral experience! If you're used to a mid/rear Porsche, should be an easy adjustment. Accelracetek rents SRF3s with good word of mouth, too. Couple places have Spec Miatas for rent if that's your thing. Word is that all the local (commercial) rental car places are wise to track use and have remote disabled them in the past, FYI.

No website for Dave, but he definitely has my endorsement: you can contact him @ dave@hse.com.

I've done SM rentals from Larry Oka many times over the years. It is a great way to drive a track that you are not so familiar with. I have done DEs there and there have always been SMs to drive with.

You might want to give BR Racing a call, they run everything from Boxster Spec to 991 cups, they might have a rental.

Can you share approximate pricing? Laguna is on my bucket list and flying there would be ideal.

In my market research, I found arrive-and-drive rentals for Laguna Seca cost about $800-$1400 for the first day, and slight discounts for additional days. Was not much more for an SRF3 than a SM.

What type of car? As that is far from my experience.

SP Motorsports in Norcal has rental cars, and arrive and drive support. I believe they have a Cup Car, Clubsport, and a GT4 available.

SP and BR get my vote for professionalism and ease of A&D.

Most of the rentals I was able to find when I was researching were Spec Miata and SRF3. There was a track-prepped Mini I was looking hard at as well, before renting the SRF3. The cheapest I found were about $800 for a 1-day arrive-and-drive. SRF2 were a little cheaper than SRF3. All rentals I looked at were cheaper if you brought a trailer and picked it up yourself. You'll pay a lot more for a Porsche.
