Default racing at daytona in a kart

My son wanted to get back into kart racing which i was excited about, so i put my racing on hold to join him and we bought some margay ignite karts, this is a spec series we run at our local track. We went to daytona for kart week and had the opportunity to run the actual daytona course (they use the motorcycle turn in the infield and bypass the bus stop). This video is of my son (i only took one go pro) in three parts, my favorite moment is part 3 when he gets out of the kart and you can hear the excitement in his voice.

Looks like drafting is key at a long track like that ...
My son is also getting into the Briggs LO206 series and i'm guessing my racing career is also going to take a back seat this year !

Nice videos !

Cheers
Phil

Good fun... enjoy it together!

What kind of top speed are you hitting in the draft?

yes drafting was big. LO206 isnt crazy expensive to run, its the trying to find the time for everything. You should look into a LO206 for yourself, maintenance between rounds is practically nothing> What track are you running at?
