Blasphemy
Will reduce demand and be a bad economic decision for the owner . SO much history and character. Many of us have names or other utterances for various bumps, cracks, holes, etc.
The pot hole entering Bishops on the right side is my personal favorite...
DON'T DO IT

Bradley's blurb: Jalopnik contributor with a love for everything sketchy and eclectic.
Ummm, not. He needs to stay a fan.
It's Sebring. Deal with it!

Jalopnik jumped the shark along time ago. They must need more clicks for their advertisers as every real racing fan knows that Sebring's "flaws" are what everyone loves about it.

They really do need to address the terlet situation. The terlets that are part of the "new pit area" are OK, but the situation during the 12 hours is something out of a horror novel. Especially compared to Daytona. I actually tweeted or insta-gramed or whatever the social media account for the 24 hours of Le Mans about the terlet situation a few years ago, and they actually responded.

Isn't the concrete like 60" thick or something? It's not like you take one of those highway scrapers and scoop off the top 3" and then lay down some new and declare victory.

Leave it concrete. There are laser guided planers/groovers than can not only level it by removing only what is needed but also can groove it for water removal. Cracks can be filled with epoxy, potholes that can't be planed can be patched properly. Only thing stopping them is they need to spend $$... They seem really keen on collecting it, not so keen on putting it back. Do it in segments, start with the entry-exit onto the main straight....

I drive Sebring twice a month now on average for the past year, I must say i personally would welcome a repaving of the entire track and it would bring it up to world class standards. But let's be realistic, it won't ever happen given the enormous history and endurable testing that happens here.
I would be happy for T17 to stay as it but the rest of it, perhaps a new top layer smoothened out like they have done in T4-5 and T7 in most of the track might be good? If you ever walk the track, it looks very dated and more like an airfield surface but I guess that is the charm.
Please don't flame me LOL
