Default Incredible MX5 Cup Photo Finish at Sebring

Selin Rollan wins. The 0.001-second margin of victory was the second-closest finish in series history.

Video of Turn 17 battle. Three different lines. Nearly identical results.

Maybe if professional racing got back to stuff like this they would be doing better...

I'm still perplexed as to why Carter gave up the inside line down the back straight?

That was awesome. I swear I see the middle car sticking its tongue out. (skip to 4:00)

The second race awesome as well... what do all of the 'experts' here think about Wagner dragging his brakes, making Carter go around early, on the back straight last lap?

Having been out of the car for a year, I was even slower than my usual slow-*** self, but if you did watch race 2, I made it on TV. I was at the back, and gave Dan Moen the "Helping Fender" as the announcer called it that put Dan into the wall at T7. He accidentally hit his pit speed limiter when he went to 1st gear (cars have REALLY tall gearing this year). He went to gas and had nothing just as I went to gas and had full power. I went to him immediately after I got out of the car to understand what had happened. Felt bad for him, but for once it wasn't my fault. Started P27 and finished P21 in race 2.

Was happy to see that guy I "know" back out there. (Where "know" means "have seen post online"). I was surprised that the draft wasn't a bigger benefit to the chase pack both races. Top 2 or 3 were able to get away pretty easily. Glad your health came together to get you back out there.

I watched the highlights from that race. Pretty impressive level of competition to be sure.

So, how close was the closest finish in series history, if this wasn't it? They can measure to less than .001 of a second?

We were at Sebring the entire event. MX5 cup races were BY FAR the most entertaining, start to finish, of the entire weekend. Some serious talent out there.
